Okay, I need to vent real quick. I was just taking a little break and decided to check out the news on the web. No kidding. If I see Jon Gosselin's douchebag existence one more time presented as news - I am going to hurt someone. It's not just that he represents everything I hate about our society (and men, in general). What is really making me need a time-out is the fact that this pudgy little losers life is being forced down my throat. When I visit CNN.com - it's because I want to know what's going on in the world... about -gasp- newsworthy- people, places, and things. If I cared about some idiot reverting back to his adolescence post-divorce, I'd call my ex. (I'm only kidding! I'd never call him.)
I just don't get how the media decides what stories to run with, and who exactly they think really cares to have them. I mean, we live on earth with almost 7 billion people. There should never be a slow news day!
Lindsay Buckingham wrote a song called 'Murrow turning over in his grave', and it's one of my favorites. Ed Murrow presented the news with integrity and honesty... and actually presented.. NEWS! How I wish we could go back to those days. And if I ever see Jon Gosselin in a dark alley, he's gonna wish it too! UGH. Even typing his name is grossing me out.
Alright kids. I'm out. I don't have the stomach to sleep with a married Senator...or have a bunch of babies implanted... or marry and divorce the douchebag Father of said babies.... SO, I guess if I'm going to get some media face time, I'm going to have to do something of value. Hmm. What basketball star could I marry right quick? Kidding. Back to the piano.
p.s If you're in Nashville, come out tomorrow night. Guitar player-extraordinaire Ryan Ridgeway and I are doing a short set at Celebrity Center. I'd love to see your little cyber faces in the flesh. ;)
